Skull Chapel

The Skull Chapel in Sedlec, a suburb of Kutna Hora in the Czech Republic. In 1776 a local priest founded a church made up of human skulls and tibia bones. All the bones were the victims of the Silesian wars and epidemics.

The ossuary contains approximately 40,000 human skeletons which have been artistically arranged to form decorations and furnishings for the chapel.
